Among the wines that can appreciate themselves some mark D.O.C.G. in Italy., the Aglianico of Taurasi is surely one of the most famous and prestigious. It is a strong wine, savoury, little tannic, with the rich bouquet and from the color red clear and bright ruby, browning orange with violet reflexes following the aging, that the disciplinary provide for a minimum time of three years before the bottling. * CARAZITA Irpinia Campi Taurasini 2011, Italy.

Carazita is a fine red wine. The wine is named after the place of the same name situated between thè towns of Luogosano and Taurasi, where mixed vineyards thatgrow the grapesutilised to produce it are situated. It is the district of Taurasi, and it’s one of the areas that are particularly suitable for growing fine wines. Carazita is made from a mixture of grapes derived from varieties typically grown in Irpinia and grapes that have found Irpinia to have the ideal climate for bea ring fruit. The main one is Aglianico, with its grapes making up about 80% of the blend. Bottled after one year of ageing, partly inoakbarrels, partly in stainless Steel tanks, Carazita acquires a ruby red colour with hright reflections, and a round, rich and penetrating taste with a slightly bitterish aftertaste. With an alcoholic volume of around 13,00%, it should be drunkat room temperature. Caravita wine goes very well with roasts, game, noble poultry, and dishes with strong sauces.

 

 

* La Loggia Irpinia Aglianico 2011, Italy.

The typical varietals that found in Irpinia, the ideal environment to grow, are the Aglianico, Merlot and Sangiovese. The vinification of these varietals in the Ponte Estate achieved a prestigious wine aged for a year in huge Slavonian Oak barrels and later refined in bottles. The outcome is a velvety and full bodied wine, pleasant on the palate and of great character. It is served at room temperature and is a perfect match for first dishes, roasts and game.

 

 


 White Wines


 

 

* FIANO DI AVELLINO 2012, 2013 Avellino, Italy.

From the grape vine apicia, one of the ancient ones “aminee” Mediterranean, of remote origin Aegean-anatolian, it comes down the Fiano of Avellino, quoted by Plinio and Columella and favorite from Fred II of Swabia and from Roberto D’Angiò. The process of wine-making is that typical of the white wines of merit, of the very delicate kind, that require cares and particular equipment. Candleland Catering makes the grapes in purity, according to traditional techniques. Of lowest return, but of rare quality, the vine Fiano give origin to a wine of pale yellow color, faded, with the pleasant and light odour, from the fresh, slim, dry and harmonic taste, with aftertaste of toasted filberts. With a minimum alcoholic volume of 13%, served to the temperature of 10° C, well it is accompanied to fish courses or to white meats.

 

 

* GRECO DI TUFO 2012, 2013 Italy.

It derives from the homonym vine dating back to the ancient grapevines “amine” of origin Aegean-anatolian. Cultivated rather intensely in the average Valley of Sabato, more precisely in Tufo – principal centre of crop – and in the neighbouring countries, it produces small clusters, of gilded color, generally different These grapes give a wine that is of the most delicious that is given to taste: the Greco di Tufo. Of alcoholic gradation around 13%, it has color that goes from the pale yellow one to the gilded yellow, intense and pleasant perfume, delicate, agreeable and harmonious taste. The Greco di Tufo is a wine to be consumed relatively young for the freshness of its taste. It’s very delicate on shellfishes and grilled fish but it also adapts well on the roast and strong courses. It likes particularly the white sauces. It advises to serve fresh, at the temperature of 10°C.

 

 

* FALANGHINA 2013, Italy.

Among the berry vines white of Campania Felix the Falanghina is surely one of the most ancient and today one of the most affirmed, beside Coda di Volpe and Greco. Exclusively produced by Candleland Catering in the selected vineyards and with grapes harvest performed to hand, the Falanghina of the Beneventano is a white wine of pale yellow color and with greenish reflexes, with the characteristic and very soft taste, harmonic, persistent. The bouquet is various, thin and extremely pleasant, and wine also preserves its characteristic aroma after two years from the wine-making. Drunk fresh (8-10°), it ideally accompanies with fish, shellfishes, appetizers and delicate courses.
